Finding the cabin!
The cabin is reached by driving down a long track past a couple of farm cottages and Fineburn caravan park where a few secluded caravans sit alongside huge Scots Pine trees. Passing the park on your left continue down the track then bear left to reach the cabin with direct parking outside on a grassy road!
Nestled in Nature
Low-bollihope Cabin is nestled in the countryside between the little Hamlet of Hill End and Low Bollihope, popular for dog walks along the burn and past the old limestone kilns.

Park outside the cabin on the ‘grassy road’ and enjoy the outdoor seating and dining area – gas BBQ and firepit.
The cabin has one of the best views in the area with visibility of miles of fells and green countryside – to the left towards Hamsterley Forest and to the right towards High Falls and Barnard Castle being approx. 30 mins drive.
Full kitchen with wine cooler
Full kitchen with 5 bottle wine cooler – fridge and ice compartment, oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, a dining/bar table and chairs overlooking the views makes dining a pleasure.
Delightful bedroom with views
Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in our compact and comfortable bedroom, a ‘Dreams’ mattress ensures a perfect nights sleep. Watch the sunrise whilst in bed through the French doors and hear the geese fly overhead.

Dog friendly places
The cabin is perfectly situated for dog walks and dog friendly places – visit the Durham Dales Centre in Stanhope just a few miles away for a browse around the artisan shops and dog friendly coffee shop. Check out the dog friendly ‘Lord Crewe Arms’ in nearby Blanchland – travel over the moors from Weardale into Northumberland – approx. 30 minutes drive. Fabulous atmosphere with real fires, gorgeous food and a huge beer garden – perfect for coffee or drinks in the ‘Crypt Bar’.
The nearby Bradley Burn coffee shop boasts a lovely antique shop and serves good coffee and food and welcomes your four legged friend. Found only a few miles away through the delightful market town of Wolsingham where dog walks along the burn can be accessed through the De Mesne park.
Derwent and Tunstall Reservoirs are both within a fifteen minute drive and are perfect for longer walks.
